To all my beloved Dumanjuganons,
Nakaabot na sa akong lamesa ang circulating posts sa Facebook nga nagpakanap ug FAKE NEWS ug mga violent threats batok sa atong dedicated health workers gikan sa Dumanjug Primary Care Facility.
I want to make this clear to everyone: WALAY BATA NGA NAMATAY SA VACCINATION DIRE SA DUMANJUG! This post claiming that a child died because of the Measles vaccine is 100% FALSE and MALICIOUS.
Our doctors, nurses, and barangay health workers are following strict medical standards to ensure safe and effective immunization for our kids.
Unia ang mas labaw nga dili nako ma-tolerate is the explicit threats of physical violence-naa pa'y naggamit og pulong nga "tigbason"ug "demonyona" batok sa atong frontliners! GIBAIRAN og sundang ang usa ka staff sa Bitoon!
AYAW NINYO SULAYI ANG DUMANJUG!
At a time when we are fighting to prevent a severe Measles and Rubella outbreak in our town, where our coverage is currently at a critical 5.8%, these anti-vax fake news posts are actively putting the lives of our children in danger!
MY DIRECT DIRECTIVES:
TO PNP DUMANJUG: I am ordering the Philippine National Police to immediately track down and identify these social media accounts spreading death threats and disinformation. File formal criminal charges directly against them! Dili ta maguol nga mo-preso ug mag-file og kaso batok ninyo!
TO OUR PARENTS: Please do not fall for baseless panic posts on social media. Our health workers are not your enemies, they are sacrificing their time and energy to protect your children from preventable, life-threatening diseases like Measles.
TO ALL BARANGAY OFFICIALS AND TANODS: Provide full security escort to all our health teams during their house-to-house vaccination rounds in your respective barangays. Make sure our health workers feel completely safe in every corner of Dumanjug!
TO OUR HEALTH WORKERS: Do not be intimidated. Continue your crucial job with confidence--the LGU, the police, and the entire municipality of Dumanjug stand firmly behind you!
If you have valid concerns, inquiries, or doubts regarding vaccines, visit the health center directly or talk to our doctors. Dili kay mag-hari-hari mo sa Facebook and incite violence!
I will protect our health workers, and I will protect the children of Dumanjug at all costs!
